Skitty Golf FAQ
What is Skitty Golf?
An iPhone golf app that puts course yardages, quick scoring, a voice caddie, a Coach, Green Read practice and swing review in one place. It is in a private, invitation-only beta, made by Skitty Tech in Denver, Colorado.
How much does Skitty Golf cost?
It is free during the private beta. No subscription is on sale yet, and beta testers will not be charged for the beta.
How do I get Skitty Golf?
Ask for an invite at skitty.golf. Invited golfers install the beta through Apple's TestFlight app.
Is Skitty Golf on Android?
Not yet. The beta is iPhone only and needs iOS 18 or later.
Do I need sensors or other hardware?
No. Scoring, yardages, the voice caddie and swing review all run on your iPhone. AirPods work for the voice caddie but are optional.
Which golf courses does it cover?
US courses mapped from OpenStreetMap data, with greens and hole lines checked against scorecards where we can. The beta has been tested most in Colorado. If a green isn't mapped, the app says so instead of guessing.
How accurate are the yardages?
Distances to the front, middle and back of the green come from your iPhone's GPS and the mapped green. We will not publish an accuracy number until we have measured one against a laser rangefinder.
Does Skitty Golf calculate a handicap?
It estimates an index from the rounds you score, using the World Handicap System method, nine-hole rounds included. It is an estimate for your own use, not an official Handicap Index from a golf association.
What does the voice caddie do?
During a round, tap the mic and ask things like how far you have left to the green. Scores the app understands are saved directly; other questions go to an AI model with a compact summary of your hole, distances, bag and recent play. The audio is not kept.
Is my swing video private?
The original stays on your phone. A private copy is uploaded so the swing can be reviewed, with camera location data removed first. Skitty Golf does not use your videos, Coach conversations or caddie questions to train AI models.
Does Skitty Golf sell my data or show ads?
No. There is no advertising in the app and your information is not sold.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Add playing partners when you set up a round, and share a live round that friends join with a code. Live rounds are deleted 24 hours after they start.
